Chris, I have to say that with my wife being a Realtor I see a lot of transactions. Most are smooth and have no issues at closing. Others have the usual inspection or appraisal snags but usually close within the estimated window. I don’t recall a transaction like the one that we experienced when buying the place at Durango Mountain!
As you recall, our deal went from incredible high hopes to doing what little we could to keep both our dream alive and stay out of a law suit. The crashing economy was a killer. Our money was tied up in a “temporary” deal that has yet to unwind itself and of course the banks shut their doors to further lending as we all knew it. The saving grace in the matter was you. Your developer clients had to be a real challenge. Heck, we must have been a real challenge with all the bends and wiggles we threw into the deal and the number of parties that made up our “family”.
